Media Evangelism

Media evangelism is a core pillar of our work. In a growing, digital age, it’s more important than ever to find new ways to connect to new audiences. By harnessing TV, video and digital media, we are making Jesus known across Europe and beyond.

The Gospel is GOOD NEWS!

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Matthew 24:14

Good News Media

TV, Media Evangelism and Discipleship

CBN is transforming lives all around the globe. By harnessing TV, video and digital media, we are communicating the Gospel worldwide, introducing people into a relationship with Jesus. Our prayer centres in the UK, Europe and beyond enable us to pray with callers, offering hope and a lifeline. For those who make the decision to follow Jesus, we offer discipleship resources to help them in their new walk with Jesus. Why do we do what we do? Everything leads back to Jesus and the ‘Great Commission’ as explained in Matthew 28:19 and 20:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The Need

We live in a broken world – with much pain, suffering and despair. Some of the major issues we face may seem so big – yet God calls us to go out into this world and share His love with people – regardless of their status, background, language or situation. God loves us all the same!

  • According to Wycliffe, at least 1.5 billion people do not have the full Bible available in their first language.
  • Every year, millions of people enter the search term “Jesus Christ”.
  • The World Health Organisation estimates that 350 million people of all ages suffer from depression.
  • A study by George Barna and the Barna Institute showed that a quarter of all children had never heard of the Nativity. Furthermore, over 40% had never heard of the crucifixion.
  • New gender identities have been introduced that are not in line with God’s Word, causing confusion with children and teenagers.
  • Parents struggle with sharing the Gospel with their children, delegating this responsibility to the Church.

Our Response

CBN Europe reaches out to the countries of Europe, the former Soviet Union, Russia, Central Asia and Australasia. We share God’s love and truth through daily and weekly content on TV, digital platforms such as the CBN Family App, YouTube, social media and websites. With production centres in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany, Croatia, Portugal and Ukraine, we are creating content in more than 20 languages. Here are some of our media initiatives that enable us to influence society, strengthen the Church, empower families and bring God’s Kingdom values back into homes and schools:

  • Superbook RE curriculum for schools, bringing Biblical values to children in primary schools. (Croatia, Wales, Portugal)
  • Superbook Academy for churches,  (English, French, Portuguese, Polish, Dutch, German, Ukrainian, Russian)
  • Superbook events in partnership with local churches, bringing joy, fun and the Gospel message to children and families
  • Local Christian content production in English, Dutch and German
  • Subtitling and dubbing of CBN programmes in more than 20 languages in Europe and Central Asia
  • Prayer Centre ministry in the United Kingdom and Germany, offering hope and Biblical resources to callers
  • Online ministry projects to reach people ‘on the go’ through testimonies, short-form content and follow up ministry
  • Launch of new, online resources to battle depression from a Biblical perspective

More than a media ministry

Although CBN at its core is a media driven ministry, we actively share God’s love and salvation in Jesus through all our humanitarian programmes. CBN’s Orphan’s Promise takes children from at risk to thriving through education. The School of Life programme is helping teenagers and young adults to live their lives according to God’s plan and purposes.

As you can see, there is much more to CBN’s ministry than just TV broadcasts. The vision and mission God gave our founder, Dr. Pat Robertson, expanded from a small regional broadcast to a global, thriving and live changing ministry. All we do is because of our faithful partners who enable the sharing of the Gospel to the nations and transforming as many lives as possible.
